Infographic Designer
Tired of working for clients? Interested in creating your own information art? We’re seeking a graphic designer with interest and experience in data visualization. The graphic designer will collaborate with Timeplots’ team to create niche information graphic products that are revealing, educational, and visually appealing.
Job requirements:
- Significant design experience
- Aptitude for, and strong interest in, data visualization
- Familiarity with the field of data visualization, the work of Edward Tufte, Richard Saul Wurman, etc.
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills
- Ability to program in Flash, R, and/or other statistical languages
- Comfort with manipulating data and information
- Ability to work independently and within a design team
- Ability to collaborate and take direction when necessary
Helpful, but not required:
- Statistical, database, and/or entrepreneurial background
- Experience creating interactive information graphics

Visual Display Programmer
Job Requirements

The visual display programmer will assist in creating Timeplots and developing visualization tools.
Research Interns
We are looking for research interns to start immediately. The internships are unpaid but may involve potential for advancement. Applicants must be able to commit at least 15 hours per week.
- Must have experience conducting academic research and be familiar with academic sources
- Must be a strong writer and demonstrate proven ability to work independently
- Experience in domestic or international healthcare policy research is strongly preferred
- Experience working in a high-stakes, entrepreneurial environment is a plus

Sales & Marketing Interns
Sales and marketing interns will develop and execute marketing and communication strategy, conduct outreach to potential retail vendors, represent Timeplots at industry events, and assist in market research projects. The internships are unpaid but may involve potential for advancement. Applicants must be able to commit at least 10 hours per week. Recent graduates and graduate students are encouraged to apply.

Job description:
The research assistant will be responsible for conducting research and aggregating data to be presented in Timeplots’ data visualizations. The research assistant will be expected to consult all sources in order to find the most relevant and accurate information, including the internet, the Library of Congress, and government agencies, and must be willing to put in a little leg work to track down hard-to-find data.
